It is located in the La Paz Department, Ingavi Province, on the border of the municipalities of Jesús de Machaca and Viacha, and in the Pacajes Province, Caquiaviri Municipality. Q’awiri Qullu is situated 3 km northeast of Cerro Tuijata.
