It is located on the border of the Chuquisaca Department, Oropeza Province, Poroma Municipality, and the Potosí Department, Chayanta Province, Ravelo Municipality. It lies northeast of Chullpa Urqu. Katariri is situated 2½ km south of Cerro Conchu Punta.
