The Rímac River is located in western Peru and is the most important source of potable water for the Lima and Callao Metropolitan Area. It belongs to the Pacific Slope, into which it flows after bathing the cities of Lima and Callao, together with the Chillón River, to the north, and the Lurín River, to the south.| Tap on a place to explore it |

Jorge Chávez International Airport is the main international airport serving Lima, the capital of Peru. It is located in Callao, 11 kilometers northwest of the Historic Centre of Lima, the nation's capital city, and 17 kilometers from the district of Miraflores. Jorge Chávez International Airport is situated 3½ km east of Rimac River.

BAP Abtao is an Abtao-class submarine of the Peruvian Navy. The vessel which was originally named BAP Tiburón, was constructed by the American Electric Boat company in the United States and launched in 1953. BAP Abtao is situated 3½ km south of Rimac River.
