Tinta is the capital town of Tinta District, Canchis Province, Department of Cuzco, Peru. It is located at an altitude of 3,836 meters above the sea level. As of the year 2017, it had a total population of 2,910. Tinta is situated 4½ km southwest of Cañahui.
