Orote Field is a former air base in the United States territory of Guam built by the Empire of Japan with Chamorro forced labor during the Japanese occupation of Guam.

SMS Cormoran or SMS Cormoran II was a German armed merchant raider that was originally a German-built Russian merchant vessel named Ryazan. The ship was active in the Pacific Ocean during World War I. SMS Cormoran is situated 2 miles northeast of Orote Peninsula.

The Sumay Cemetery is a historic cemetery at the junction of Sumay Drive and Guam Highway 1 on the grounds of Naval Base Guam, located on the west side of the United States territory of Guam. Sumay Cemetery is situated 1½ miles east of Orote Peninsula.
