Africatown
Africatown, also known as AfricaTown USA and Plateau, is a historic community located three miles north of downtown Mobile, Alabama. It was formed by a group of 32 West Africans, who in 1860 were bought and transported against their will in the last known illegal shipment of slaves to the United States.| Tap on a place to explore it |

Catholic Cemetery, formerly known as the Stone Street Cemetery, is a historic 150-acre cemetery located in Mobile, Alabama. It was established in 1848 by Michael Portier, a native of Montbrison, France and the first Roman Catholic Bishop of Mobile. Catholic Cemetery is situated 2 miles south of Africatown.
