Although Boligee appeared on the 1880 U.S. Census, according to the 1930 U.S. Census it did not incorporate until 1926, though another source cited 1927. Boligee is situated 4½ miles east of Toms Bar.

Epes is a town in Sumter County, Alabama, United States. Initially called Epes Station, it was incorporated as Epes in 1899. At the 2020 census the population was 272, up from 192 in 2010. Epes is situated 6 miles south of Toms Bar.
