Newton is a town in Dale County, Alabama, United States. At the 2010 census its population was 1,511. Once the county seat of Dale County, Newton lost this distinction to nearby Ozark in 1870, and is now a small farming community. Newton is situated 2½ miles north of Union Church.

Pinckard is a town in Dale County, Alabama, United States. At the 2020 census, the population was 582. Pinckard incorporated in 1893 and is part of the Ozark Micropolitan Statistical Area. Pinckard is situated 3½ miles east of Union Church.
