Cowarts is a town in Houston County, Alabama, United States. The town incorporated in August 1961. It is part of the Dothan, Alabama Metropolitan Statistical Area. As of the 2020 census, Cowarts had a population of 1,930. Cowarts is situated 3½ miles northeast of Wilson Quarters.
