On October 14, 2021, the Jerome City Council elected to surrender the town's charter and officially declared Jerome no longer in existence as an incorporated entity. Jerome is situated 3½ miles northwest of Lighterwood Bayou.

Montrose is a city in Ashley County, Arkansas, United States. The population was 354 at the 2010 census. Montrose is located where U.S. Route 165 intersects with U.S. Route 82.
