Chidester is a city in northwest Ouachita County, Arkansas, United States. The population was 253 at the 2020 census. It is part of the Camden Micropolitan Statistical Area. It was founded in 1880 and incorporated on February 14, 1906. Chidester is situated 4½ miles north of Poison Springs State Park.
