Horsetrough Falls is located on one of the flanks of Horsetrough Mountain in Union County, Georgia, part of the Blue Ridge Mountains. This 70-foot waterfall is located on a creek that is part of the headwaters of the Chattahoochee River, which forms within a mile of the falls, and located within the Mark Trail Wilderness.

Horsetrough Mountain, with a summit elevation of 4,045 feet, is located in Union and White counties in northeastern Georgia, USA. It is also within the boundaries of the Chattahoochee National Forest and is part of the Mark Trail Wilderness. Horsetrough Mountain is situated 2 miles northwest of Henson Creek.
