The Cross at the Crossroads, also known as The Cross, is a 198-foot tall, 113-foot spanning cross in Effingham, Illinois. It was built in 2001 after its creator was inspired by a similar cross in Groom, Texas. The Cross at the Crossroads is situated 1 mile northeast of Interchange 157.

Effingham station is an Amtrak intercity train station in Effingham, Illinois, United States. The station contains three houses, at the CSXT St. Louis Line Subdivision crossing that once served Amtrak's former National Limited line between Kansas City and either Washington D.C. or New York City until 1979. Effingham station is situated 2½ miles northeast of Interchange 157.
