Gilpin is an unincorporated community in Casey County, Kentucky, United States. A post office was established in the community then known as Shackelford in 1881. In 1887, postmaster William Gilpin renamed it after his own family. Gilpin is situated 3½ miles southwest of Lawhorn Hill.

Yosemite is an unincorporated community in eastern Casey County, Kentucky, United States. Their Post Office was closed in September 2011. It was established in the 1870s for logging facilities owned by Cincinnati businessman Eugene Zimmerman. Yosemite is situated 3½ miles northeast of Lawhorn Hill.
