Elkatawa is an unincorporated community and coal town in Breathitt County, Kentucky, United States. A post office was established in 1891, with Eli C. Jones postmaster. The name Elkatawa is possibly a corruption of Tenskwatawa. Elkatawa is situated 2½ miles north of Robinson Fork.

Jackson is a home rule-class city in and the county seat of Breathitt County, Kentucky, in the United States. The population was 2,231 according to the 2010 U.S. census. It was the home of the Jackson Academy, which became Lees College. Jackson is situated 2½ miles northeast of Robinson Fork.
