Olmstead is an unincorporated community in Logan County, Kentucky, United States. Olmstead was a station on the L & N railroad between Bowling Green, KY and Clarksville, TN that opened in 1860.

Logan County is a county in the southwest Pennyroyal Plateau area of Kentucky, United States. As of the 2020 census, the population was 27,432. Its county seat is Russellville. Whippoorwill is situated 4½ miles north of Vicks Branch.
