Little Switzerland is an unincorporated community in McDowell and Mitchell counties of North Carolina, United States. It is located along North Carolina Highway 226A off the Blue Ridge Parkway, directly north of Marion and south of Spruce Pine. Little Switzerland is situated 3½ km northwest of Chestnut Ridge.

Spruce Pine is the largest town in Mitchell County, North Carolina, United States. The population was 2,194 at the 2020 census. It is one of the only places in the world where high-purity quartz can be found. Spruce Pine is situated 10 km north of Chestnut Ridge.
