As of the 2020 United States census, the township's population was 1,717, a decrease of 53 from the 2010 census count of 1,770, which in turn reflected a decline of 81 from the 1,851 counted in the 2000 census. Lower Alloways Creek Township is situated 3½ miles northeast of Devils Gut.
