It is in the western part of the county, in the southeast part of Greenwich Township, on the northwest side of the tidal Cohansey River, 4 miles northeast of its mouth at Delaware Bay.

As of the 2020 United States census, the township's population was 771, a decrease of 33 from the 2010 census count of 804, which in turn reflected a decline of 43 from the 847 counted in the 2000 census.
