OhioHealth O'Bleness Hospital is a 144-bed community hospital at 55 Hospital Drive, Athens, Ohio 45701. O'Bleness overlooks the Hocking River. The westernmost wing of the hospital is known as the Cornwell Center, which houses medical offices; a separate office building slightly northwest of this was recently built, and is known as the Castrop Center. O’Bleness Memorial Hospital is situated 1,400 feet southwest of Athens Cemetery.

Chessa Field is the women's soccer field of the Ohio Bobcats. It was opened under the name of "Ohio Soccer Field" on September 6, 1997. On that day, Ohio defeated the Youngstown State University Penguins 2–0 in what was also the first home varsity women's soccer game in the history of Ohio University. Chessa Field is situated 1,700 feet south of Athens Cemetery.
