Jay is a city in and the county seat of Delaware County, Oklahoma, United States. As of the 2020 census, Jay had a population of 2,425. Almost 40% of its residents are Native American, thus Jay is home to numerous Cherokee tribal offices and a health clinic for the Delaware District of the Cherokee Nation. Jay is situated 4½ miles north of Brush Creek.
