Tonkawa is a city in Kay County, Oklahoma, United States, along the Salt Fork Arkansas River. The population was 3,015 as of the 2020 United States census. Tonkawa is situated 4½ miles south of Tyner.

Blackwell is in the Red Carpet Country region of Oklahoma. A Cherokee Outlet land run town from 1893, and regrettably a rather sordid sundown town for a good while after.
