Maricao State Forest is a state forest located in the western Cordillera Central mountains of Puerto Rico. It is commonly known as Monte del Estado because it was one of the first forest reserves in Puerto Rico to be designated a state forest in its official name.

The Santa Ana Observation Tower, better known as the Stone Tower, is an approximately 30 feet tall observation tower located at the summit of Monte del Estado, Santa Ana Peak, at the boundary between the municipalities of San Germán and Maricao, within the Maricao State Forest in southwestern Puerto Rico.

The Iglesia de San Juan Bautista in Maricao, Puerto Rico is a church built during 1890-c.1898. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1984, and on the Puerto Rico Register of Historic Sites and Zones in 2000.
