Boyds Creek is an unincorporated community in Sevier County, Tennessee, United States. It is named for a small southward-flowing tributary of the French Broad River of the same name, which itself derives its name from a Virginian trader, killed by a band of Cherokee people, whose body was thrown into the stream. Boyds Creek is situated 2½ miles northwest of Ellis Hollow.

Sevierville is a city in eastern Tennessee. Pronounced "Severe-ville" and named after Colonel John Sevier after his successful campaign in running off the Cherokee inhabitants around 1780, Sevierville was surprisingly anti-secessionist and abolitionist up to and during the Civil War but ended up being pillaged quite badly.
