Eighth Avenue South Reservoir is a man-made masonry reservoir in Nashville, Tennessee. The reservoir was built on Kirkpatrick's Hill which was the former site of Fort Casino: a Union Army fort in the American Civil War.

Fort Negley was a fortification built by Union troops after the capture of Nashville, Tennessee during the American Civil War, located approximately 2 miles south of the city center. It was the largest inland fort built in the United States during the war. Fort Negley is situated 1,600 feet northeast of Fall School.
