Johnson County is a county located in the U.S. state of . As of the 2020 census, its population was 179,927. Its county seat is . Johnson County is named for Colonel Middleton Tate Johnson Sr, a Texas Ranger, politician and soldier in the Mexican-American War and the American Civil War.
