Plaza Saltillo station is a CapMetro Rail hybrid rail station in Austin, Texas. It is located in East Austin at the corner of Fifth and Comal Street adjacent to the Plaza Saltillo complex which, in turn, was built in 1998 as a result of a collaborative effort between the city of Austin, the city of Saltillo, Capital Metro and Ole Mexico, an east Austin cultural group. Plaza Saltillo station is situated 1 mile north of Metz Elementary School.

The Texas State Cemetery is a cemetery located on about 22 acres just east of downtown Austin, the capital of the U.S. state of Texas. Originally the burial place of Edward Burleson, Texas Revolutionary general and vice-president of the Republic of Texas, it was expanded into a Confederate cemetery during the Civil War. Texas State Cemetery is situated 1 mile north of Metz Elementary School.

Longhorn Dam is a dam crossing the Colorado River in Austin, Texas, United States, where it creates Lady Bird Lake. Completed in 1960, the dam was built by the City of Austin as the last in a chain of Colorado River dams in central Texas begun during the Great Depression. Longhorn Dam is situated 3,200 feet east of Metz Elementary School.
