is an incorporated town in Caroline County, Virginia, United States. The population was 1,111 at the 2010 census. The county seat of Caroline County since 1803, is best known as the "cradle of American horse racing", the home of the second-oldest Virginia Masonic Lodge, and the current location of the oldest continuously inhabited residence in .

Village
is an unincorporated community in Caroline County, in the U.S. state of . It was a stop on the Richmond, Fredericksburg and Potomac Railroad in the nineteenth century; the railroad has since been replaced by CSXT.
