Crabtree Falls

Crabtree Falls is one of the tallest sets of waterfalls in the United States east of the Mississippi River. It is located in the George Washington National Forest in Nelson County, Virginia, off of Virginia State Route 56. Crabtree Falls is situated 2½ miles south of Wolf Hollow.
Mine Bank Mountain

Mine Bank Mountain is a 3,488-foot peak in the U.S. state of Virginia, in the Saint Mary's Wilderness near the Blue Ridge Parkway. The mountain was the site of the 2023 Virginia plane crash, which struck 300 feet below the peak, killing all four on board. Mine Bank Mountain is situated 2½ miles north of Wolf Hollow.
