Coaldale is an unincorporated community in Mercer County, West Virginia, United States. Coaldale is located along U.S. Route 52, 3 miles northwest of Bramwell. Coaldale was so named on account of the local coal-mining industry.

Freeman is a neighborhood of Bramwell, Mercer County, West Virginia, United States. Freeman had its own post office, which closed on June 27, 2009. The community was named after John Freeman, the proprietor of a local mine.

Bramwell is a town of 426 people in the Bluefield micropolitan area of West Virginia. Incorporated in 1888, Bramwell became known as the "Home of Millionaires" because it contained more millionaires per capita around the turn of the 20th century than any other town in the US; today, their Victorian and Tudor style mansions can still be viewed.
