Talcott Mountain is a 950-foot high point in central Connecticut, lying along a 13-mile trap rock ridge 6 miles west of the city of Hartford. A prominent landscape feature, the ridge forms a continuous line of exposed western cliffs visible across the Farmington River valley from Farmington to Simsbury.
