Prison
Northern Correctional Institution was a high-security state prison in Somers, in the northern part of the U.S. state of Connecticut. Until its closure, the prison housed the state's male convicts serving long sentences for violent crimes; previously, it had also housed the death row for inmates before the abolition of the death penalty in Connecticut. Northern Correctional Institution is situated 2½ miles west of North Somers.
