Constructed by the Chicago, Burlington and Quincy Railroad and opened in 1899, the station is listed on the National Register of Historic Places as the Chicago, Burlington and Quincy Railroad-Creston Station. Creston station is situated 1½ miles southeast of Creston Nursing Rehabilitation Center.
