The Cook County Jail, located on 96 acres in South Lawndale, Chicago, Illinois, is operated by the Sheriff of Cook County. It is sometimes referred to as 26th and Cal or Hotel California, as its address is on 26th Street and California Avenue.

Carter Henry Harrison Technical High School was a public 4–year high school located in the South Lawndale neighborhood of Chicago, Illinois. Opened and operated by the Chicago Public Schools district, Harrison was founded in 1910 as a branch of Farragut Career Academy.
