Mineral is a village in Bureau County, Illinois, United States. The population was 206 at the 2020 census, down from 237 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Ottawa Micropolitan Statistical Area. Mineral is situated 2½ miles southeast of Hickory Creek.

Annawan is an incorporated town in Henry and Bureau counties, Illinois, United States. The population was 1,143 at the 2020 census. The town was named for Annawan, a Massachusetts Wampanoag chief, though it has been claimed that it took its name from a local Winnebago chief of the same name. Annawan is situated 3 miles southwest of Hickory Creek.
