Nonamesset Island is the most easterly of the Elizabeth Islands of Dukes County, Massachusetts, United States. The island has a land area of 1.398 km2 or 345.5 acres) and was uninhabited as of the 2000 census. Nonamesset Island is situated 1½ miles west of Nobska Point Light.

The Marine Biological Laboratory is an international center for research and education in biological and environmental science. Founded in Woods Hole, Massachusetts, in 1888, the MBL is a private, nonprofit institution that was independent for most of its history, but became officially affiliated with the University of Chicago on July 1, 2013. Marine Biological Laboratory is situated 1 mile northwest of Nobska Point Light.
