Mount Holyoke

Mount Holyoke, a traprock mountain, elevation 935 feet, is the westernmost peak of the Holyoke Range and part of the 100-mile Metacomet Ridge. The mountain is located in the Connecticut River Valley of western Massachusetts, and is the namesake of nearby Mount Holyoke College.

It is located in a narrow strip of land between Mount Tom to the south, the Connecticut River to the east, and The Oxbow, an old channel of the Connecticut River, to the north. Mount Tom is situated 2 miles southwest of Taylor Notch.

It extends from the junction of Woodbridge Street and Silver Street north roughly to Woodbridge Terrace. Woodbridge Street Historic District is situated 2½ miles south of Taylor Notch.
