Dark Island, a prominent feature of the Saint Lawrence Seaway, is located in the lower Thousand Islands region, near Chippewa Bay. It is a part of the Town of Hammond, in St. Lawrence County, New York.

Crossover Island Light is a lighthouse on the Saint Lawrence River in New York state near the Canada–United States border. The lighthouse was established in 1848 and the last tower was first lit in 1882. Crossover Island Light is situated 4 km north of Chippewa Point.

It was named in honour of Jeannette Runciman, the spouse of retired Canadian politician Bob Runciman. Jeannette Runciman Island is situated 3½ km southwest of Chippewa Point.
