Kaaterskill Clove is a deep gorge, or valley, in New York's eastern Catskill Mountains, lying just west of the village of Palenville and in Haines Falls.

South Mountain is a mountain located in Greene County, New York east of Haines Falls, New York. Located to the southwest is Roundtop Mountain. High Peak drains south into Kaaterskill Creek and north into North-South Lake. South Mountain is situated 1½ miles northwest of Kaaterskill Clove.

North–South Lake is an 1,100-acre state campground in the Catskill Forest Preserve near Palenville, New York operated by the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation near the site of the historic Catskill Mountain House overlooking the Hudson River. North–South Lake is situated 2 miles north of Kaaterskill Clove.
