Berlin is a town in Rensselaer County, New York, United States. The population was 1,808 at the 2020 census. The town is named after Berlin in Germany, although natives pronounce the name differently, with the accent on the first syllable. Berlin is situated 4½ miles north of Mattison Hollow.
