Lake Placid Winter Olympic Museum

The Lake Placid Olympic Museum commemorates the 1932 Winter Olympics and 1980 Winter Olympics, which were based in the Olympic village of Lake Placid. It is one of few Olympic museums in the United States and is a part of the work of New York State Olympic Regional Development Authority in the Lake Placid Olympic Region.

The Lake Placid Station is a former railroad station, built by the Delaware and Hudson Railway in Lake Placid, New York. In the post-World War II period, the NYC's North Star train, and later, the Iroquois, provided direct sleeping car service from New York City's Grand Central Terminal to Lake Placid.
