Cardington is a village in Morrow County, Ohio, United States. The population was 2,051 at the 2020 census. Mount Gilead, Ohio, the county seat, is located northeast of Cardington on U.S. Route 42.

Shawtown is an unincorporated community in Morrow County, in the U.S. state of Ohio. Shawtown was named for the Shaw family of pioneer settlers who arrived in the area around the time of the War of 1812. Shawtown is situated 2½ miles southwest of Big Run.
