The Dresden Plant is a 580 megawatt, natural gas power plant located south of Dresden, Ohio in Muskingum County, Ohio. The plant began operations in 2012 and is currently owned by American Electric Power. Dresden Plant is situated 2½ miles south of Cass Township.

Dresden is a village in Muskingum County, Ohio, United States, along the Muskingum River at the mouth of Wakatomika Creek. The population was 1,650 at the 2020 census. It is part of the Zanesville micropolitan area. It was incorporated on March 9, 1835.
