Ney is a village in Defiance County, Ohio, United States. The population was 303 at the 2020 census. Ney has been noted for having one of the shortest place names in Ohio.

Hamlet
Moats is an unincorporated community in Defiance County, in the U.S. state of Ohio. A post office called Moats was established in 1889, and remained in operation until 1905. Little remains of the original community. Moats is situated 3½ miles south of Washington Township.
