Whitehall is a borough with home rule status in Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, United States. The population was 15,064 at the 2020 census, an increase of 1,120 since the 2010 census. It is part of the Pittsburgh metropolitan area. Whitehall is situated 1½ miles east of Castle Shannon.

Mt. Lebanon is an affluent suburb in Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, about seven miles south of Downtown Pittsburgh. Uptown Mt. Lebanon, a business district along Washington Road in the northern part of the township, is one of the more prominent business districts in the area outside of Pittsburgh itself.

It was the residence of miners of the Pittsburgh Terminal Railroad and Coal Company #4 Mine, which had a racially integrated workforce, unusual in that era.
