Mohegan Bluffs

Block Island Southeast Light is a lighthouse located on Mohegan Bluffs at the southeastern corner of Block Island, Rhode Island. It was designated a U.S. National Historic Landmark in 1997 as one of the most architecturally sophisticated lighthouses built in the United States in the 19th century.

During the winter months Block Island is the very picture of a sleepy, seaside New England town, with a local population of around 900 people. In summer, the island's population explodes to nearly 10,000 at any given time, and many thousands more on busy weekends or holidays. Block Island State Airport is situated 1½ miles northwest of Mohegan Bluffs.

Block Island School is a K-12 school located in Block Island, Rhode Island. Established in 1933, it replaced five one-room schools. Today, the Block Island School educates approximately 160 students, from kindergarten through senior year.
