Emmett is a city in Gem County, Idaho, United States. The population was 7,647 at the 2020 census, up from 6,557 in 2010. It is the county seat and the only city in the county. Emmett is part of the Boise metropolitan area. Emmett is situated 5 miles southwest of Cherry Gulch.
