Idaho City is a town in, and the county seat of, Boise County, Idaho, United States, located about 36 miles northeast of Boise. The population was 466 at the 2020 census. Idaho City is part of the Boise City−Nampa, Idaho Metropolitan Statistical Area. Idaho City is situated 2½ miles northeast of Gregory Gulch.
