Ryan Dam is a hydroelectric dam on the Missouri River, 10 miles downstream from the city of Great Falls in the U.S. state of Montana. The dam is 1,336 feet long and 61 feet high; its reservoir is 7 miles long and has a storage capacity of 5,000 acre-feet.

The Great Falls Portage is the route taken by the Lewis and Clark Expedition in 1805 to portage around the Great Falls of the Missouri River during the outbound portion of the expedition. Great Falls Portage is situated 1½ miles southwest of Big Falls.
