Heart Butte is a census-designated place in Pondera County, Montana, United States. The population was 698 at the 2000 census. The town is on the Blackfeet Indian Reservation. The town takes its name from the small heart-shaped peak southwest of town. Heart Butte is situated 3½ miles northeast of Green Lake.
